Pools solve more than bathing.

Town swimming pools can provide a warm shower, hot tubs and a reset when campsite facilities are limited.

Browse pools by region and verify price and opening hours before driving there.

Remove shoes in the changing area and shower thoroughly without swimwear before entering the pool.

Use Reykjavík or Akureyri rather than depending on a remote campsite machine being available.

Before sleep

Choose a legal, level campsite position.
Check wind exposure, soft ground, drainage and clearance before raising the roof.

Fill only from a drinking-water tap. Empty waste only where the campsite directs.

Doors controlled in wind, loose equipment stored, shoes and wet layers contained.

Prepare tomorrow before losing signal.
Save the route, campsite, fuel stop, road status and weather screenshots.

Morning departure check.
Roof down and latched, vents closed, gas off, drawers locked and power disconnected.
